So I really like this man. I definitely recommend if it if you’re looking for a powerbank that will charge your mods and your phone. This is a great option.
And that’s all I got for you today. This is a simple quick one. We’ll see you on the next one. We’re Going to have some links down below as to where you can buy the Xtar PB2. We’ll have a link down below to our forum, vapinginsider.com/forum. Hit that thumbs up button, hit that sub button, hit that notification button. We’ll.see you on the next one. You guys keep living that vape life, Deuces.
All right everyone, we’re back on top with the Xtar PB2. You guys saw it downlow man. I mean, this is a cool little thing. I’m really digging it. I have to say it spent a lot if time in my bag. I’ve been using it a lot.
Let me tell you what I been specifically using it for. Everybody knows that 21700 mods are getting very popular now. Especially single 21700 mods. I’ve been using this to recharge that mod on the go. It’s kind if cool because I got two 18650 batteries and I can charge my 21700 batteries and I don’t have to carry any spare 21700.
Now, the other thing I’ve been using it is this, I’m almost using it like a battery case. Basically if I’m going somewhere and I’m really low on batteries, I’ll pop my new batteries out of these one, mu fully charge batteries out of this one. I put it in my mod and then I’ll put my dead batteries in here and plug it in wherever I am so I can charge while I’m still vaping. I kind of like that. I think that’s kind of cool feature to have.
The other thing I like about this is I can use it to recharge my phone. I mean, I can’t tell.you how many times I bought one of these charging bricks or powerbank, whatever the hell you want to call them. Six months later they are dead. I don’t see that happening with this because I can always put new 18650s in here. I mean, I’m inclined to believe, most of the time, the reason those power banks die is because the internal battery died. That’s not going to happen with this because I’m supplying the battery.
First Impression Out of the Box
DeucesJack:What’s up everybody, DeucesJack at vapinginsider.com. Today I got the Xtar PB2. Yeah man, this ain’t a mod. This is an 18650 battery bank. It takes 18650s, like one of those little charging bricks you buy for your phone. Well, this is the same type of thing but you can use it with the mods or your phone or to charge anything with a USB connection.
Let’s cut down low, let me show it up to you up close and personal. I’ll open it up, show you how to put the batteries in, we’ll come back on top. We’ll probably talk about it for a little bit and that’s it, then we’re out of here. We’re not going to do cons and pros on this thing because there’s no reason to. See you down low.
What’s in the Box
- 1* XTAR PB2 Battery Charger
- 1* USB Cable
- 1* User Manual
All right everyone. Welcome to the downlow portion of this video. Today we’re going to be going over the Xtar PB2 Handheld Portable Charger. This thing’s kind of cool, man. It actually charges your mod at 2 amps and it charges itself at 2 amps.
Here is the instruction booklet. We’re going to file that to the side. There was a USB cable here, a black one, I don’t have it. I don’t know what happened to it. God knows I got a million of them and I don’t know which one actually came with this.
From Top to Bottom
But I just want to show you something, here’s your charger. So this is like a power bank and check it out. Next to a dual 18650 battery case, it’s really like a battery case with a little bit of extras. Here it is next to a dual 2700 battery case. So size-wise, it’s kind of small, it really is.
Turn it on like that, you see it cycle through. And now it says I have a 99% charge. Got that like Vapor Shark, smooth rubbery feel to it.
On the back, there are the specs. PB2 input at 2.1 amps. Output with one battery is at 1 amp, with 2 batteries it’s at 2 amps. There’s your out, there’s your in. In other words, if you want to charge it, you plug your micro USB cable there. When you want to charge something from this, you plug your USB port in there.
In order to take the batteries out or open it up, simple. Two magnets there hold the battery cover in place and there are your batteries. Take your batteries out, just give it a little push and they’re out. Clear battery indicator markings right there. Both batteries go in, positive side up, like so, and that’s it. Now you’re ready to charge.
You know what I like about this thing is, you can carry, you know, some people are going to say, well why would I carry that around? Why not just use one of these cases and carry two spares? Yeah, that’s kind of cool too but at least with this you have the option of actually charging your batteries in it. So even if you wanted to, if you’re running a dual mod, you can take your fresh batteries out of here, vape and put your dead batteries in here and charge them up. Or you could do what I’ve been using it for. I’ve been using it for my single 21700 mods. I’ve been carrying this with me and charging up my single 21700 mods through this. So I don’t got to carry two 21700 batteries. It’s kind of cool it really is.
Another thing I really like about this is it’s got passed through technology. In other words, you could have your mod plugged in here and then you can have this part plugged in to actually charge the battery charger. But what it’ll do is it’ll pass through and charge your mod first. This way you don’t cycle through your batteries. I think that’s kind of cool. I really do.
And the other thing I like about it is if you got a phone like me, here, this is my, this is the plug to note 8. It’s plug in. Now if i plug my note 8 phone in, you will see that I’m actually charging my phone, right now, through that battery pack. So it’s like a battery, it’s like powerbank that I could use my 18650s in. I actually like it, I really do.
Let’s cut back on top. We’re going to talk about it, cons, pros and then we’re out of here as usual. See you back on top.
