What’s up, Insiders? DeucesJack, I’m over at VapingInsider.com. Got another refillable pod system for you today. Check this one out. Kind of sexy, little, green pod. This one’s the Asmodus Pyke. It’s kind of like a Caliburn type refillable pod. That’s the kind of draw it has.
Before we get into the video, head on over to our Facebook group. We’re going to have a link down below. The bigger the group gets, the stronger we get, the more informed we are. Head on over there and check it out. There’s a great group of people over there.
FROM TOP TOP BOTTOM
Check that out. Pretty simple. Got a micro USB cable right here. There is your actual mod. Inside the box, you get two pods. I like that. Nice job on that. Here is the pod that you get. Remember, you get two of them. Nice, flat draw piece. It looks pretty wide. It looks like it’s going to give you a lot of air. That’s where your airflow comes in from, on the sides.
On the bottom, two big gold-plated contacts that make contact with the gold plated pins inside the pod. Look at this thing. You need some girly nails. Pop that open, there’s your fill port right there. Let’s take a look at the battery part of the mod. I like that Asmodus emblem. It’s kind of classy looking. I don’t mind it. Typical looking pod system doesn’t look like any big shake, so far. There’s your micro USB port right there, that’s for charging.
On the top side, you can see, you have two little pins inside there and two little magnets on each side. In order to install the pod, just pop it in like that. It does have a nice magnet that seems to be pretty strong. You can put it in, either way, it doesn’t matter. You see the light comes on when the pod goes in.
I wanted to give you a quick size comparison. This is a Juul, this is the mod we’ve been going over, and this is the Pavinno Wing by Asmodus as well. You can see, this thing is much, much thicker than a Juul. Just about the same height. It’s also wider going across. But basically, the same type of form factor, just in a bigger version. Tiny when compared to the Voopoo Vinci X I just reviewed. Conversely, the Wing is much bigger, much wider and it’s from the same exact company. This one is adjustable via an app. I did a full review on this one. This one is not. The Pyke is just a straight-up simple pod system. The Pavinno Wing is a little bit more feature-rich. But just so you can get a general idea of the size.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Alright, Insiders! Let’s get into those cons and pros.
First, con is going to be Yvette pod got a little bit of a wiggle to it. A little bit wobbly, a little bit wiggly. They could have done a better job with the fitment. It’s a con.
And the last con is going to be, and it’s a personal con to me, this thing has a ceramic heating element. I’m not sold on that whole ceramic thing. I don’t know about that yet. I would just rather see regular cotton wicking and wire. I don’t want to see a ceramic heating element. It’s just a personal choice of mine so I got to chalk it up to a con.
But that’s it on the cons. I didn’t have a lot to complain about on this thing. It is what it is. It’s a nice simple little pod system. Let’s get into some of the pros.
First pro is going to be, I’ve been getting great battery life on it.
It’s got a decent capacity.
It does well with nic salts or freebase juice.
I like the finish and it
It’s an easy carry, nice and light. Shirt pocket, jacket pocket, jeans pocket, you’re good to go.
It’s got a smooth draw which is very Caliburn-like. Let me show you what I’m talking about here. Check it out. I got a nic salt in there, the one you saw me load up in it. Just nice, very flavorful, very smooth. Maybe a tad tighter than the Caliburn but the vape quality is definitely there. I’ve been enjoying it, I really have.
Pod longevity, so far, has been pretty good. I’m on like my eighth or ninth fill up on this thing. No significant loss of flavor or clouds. You just saw me vape it.
I think it’s at a fair price point. $30, you get two pods in the kit. I think that’s a fair price point. We’ll chalk that up like a pro.
That’s it, Insiders! Those are my cons and pros. Let’s chat about this one a little bit.
What do you want me to say? It’s a simple pod system. It’s got a smooth draw. It’s got a good flavor. It’s a really decent pod system. That’s the best way I could describe it. It’s easy to use. It’s great for people who are transitioning over from cigarettes. The nice thing about it is it’s refillable so you can go find the juice that you like. You can run 25-35mg nicotine juice in this thing and you’ll be good to go if you’re an ex-smoker. The bottom line is this thing does what it’s got to do without a lot of pomp and circumstance and I’ll just leave it there.
Let’s get into some of the specs on the Asmodus Pyke pod. It measures in at 106.6mm x 22.3mm x 12.6mm. It has a 480 mAh battery and a 2ml capacity. The pod ohms out at 1.2ohms. It has a ceramic heating element and it is refillable.

- Battery: 480mAh built-in battery
- Coil: 1.3ohm coil
