Artery Pal 2 Pro Review

Updated on: 2019-08-07

So that’s it, Insiders! Those are the cons and pros. Let’s talk about this one a little bit. Is it the best Pal yet? Because there’s been a few of them. Yeah, man. I gotta say, I like this better than the original Pal 2. I also like it better than that Pal Pro, the bigger one, I like this one better. I think it’s a better vape and I like the fact that I can adjust the wattage, that’s a big pro to me.

I’m happy that they got rid of that flat mouthpiece from the original Pal 2, I hated that thing, I like the round mouthpiece better and I liked the fact that they improved the coils. Those coils were good to begin with but these are definitely a little bit better. If you’re in the market for a small discreet setup that you can use all day, something that you can bang around in your pocket or your bag with you, definitely check this one out, it’s DeucesJack approve.

Hey, Insiders! Today, we’re going to be going over the Artery Pal 2 Pro. This is from Artery and Tony b. Big question is, is this the best pal yet? Make sure you watch the whole review to find out all my thoughts and feelings.

From Top to Bottom

Check that out, man. It’s a little colorful in an electrifying way. That’s a little loud but I know peeps are going to definitely like it. Like I said before, nice, bright and vibrant, I know some people are definitely going to like that. This isn’t resin, it’s kind of just plastic. It does feel nice though but it’s not a true resin panel so don’t get all excited about that. Over there is your sight glass, nice big sight glass in order for you to see your juice level. On the other side, there is your fire button right there.

Now, notice they went with the round drip tip. The drip tip is removable. You can see it’s a 510 drip tip with the o-rings on the outside. All your other 510s will fit fine. That’s a nice touch that it’s a removable 510, I like that. You got some Pal branding over here. This is where your airflow is coming from. LED indicator for your battery life. Micro USB port over here. On the bottom, you can see that little fingernail tab, a Tony B project. Artery Pal 2 Pro bottom and dip tip

So here are the three different colors that they sent me. This is the one I’ve been using. I gotta admit, man, I like the solid colors a lot better, they just seemed to be a bit more classier. Both of these are a little too loud for me, they really are. This one is called Dazzle Rainbow and this one is called Monster Squad. Both of those are not my style, this is definitely more my style.

Size Comparison

One thing I wanted to point out to you though is this. Check this out. Notice, this one is actually a little slimmer than the other one. They’re the same exact mod. This panel will fit on there, it’s just that these panels with the artwork on them are much thicker than the solid ones. So just something to consider when you’re buying it. I don’t know if that amount of slimness is going to make a big difference to you but I just wanted to point it out.

Artery Pal 2 size

I also wanted to compare it to the OG. Good thing I have almost the same color. You can see, they went from around fire button to a square fire button. Basically the same location. They also went from a square type of mouthpiece to a round mouthpiece. I’m glad they did that, I never liked this mouthpiece. And of course, the other difference between the two is this one has a screen that you can adjust the wattage on. But really, really close in form-factor. Very, very, very similar, not much of a difference at all. You can see, maybe this one’s a little thicker but not by much. So I wanted to show it to you in that context as well.

Just for another reference point, of course, this is the device that we’re reviewing right now. Here’s the Lost Vape Orion, the DNA version, and this is the Dot Mod Dot AIO which by the way, one of my favorite AIO devices. But this one takes a removable 18650 so it’s significantly bigger. The orion, also little slimmer, little taller but basically the same general shape. A lot of people own this, that’s why i wanted to show them next to each other.

In order to get to the insides, you just pop that open. Now, you can see it’s got 2 nice magnets on the door. Supposedly, some people had issues with their magnets on this side falling out, so Artery put them behind the plastic so it’s not an issue anymore. Here are your up and down buttons right here.

Artery Pal 2 Pro screen

You have a little screen, let’s turn that on but let’s take this out first. So in order to turn this on, five clicks, there’s your little turn-on screen. Let’s zoom in a little bit because this is a tiny, tiny screen. There we go, very simple screen. Resistance, battery, meter, wattage. Goes up and down in half watt increments all the way up to 22W. It does auto detect the coil and it will not let you go past like 13.5W for the mouth to lung coil and once you put in the mesh coil, it’ll let you go up to 22W. So that’s a nice feature, that’s kind of cool, kind of makes it idiot-proof. I do like that you have these three gold plated pins inside here.

The Pod

In order to install your pod ,you simply slide it in like this, slide it over and that’s it. Let’s take this out, let’s go over the pod for a second. There’s been some controversy about what are these, are these pods? Are these AIO kits? They’re kind of becoming interchangeable. I mean, I consider something with a swappable coil and AIO  kit but other companies are marketing them as pods. Pod, AIO kit, kind of became interchangeable lately. I just wanted to point that out.

Artery Pal 2 Pro open magnetic panel

There’s your fill port right there, plenty of room for air to escape, I like that. I like that the gasket stays attached, awesome job on that. In order to fill it up, you just pop your juice in there and then, you just seal it up. I’m not going to do with this one because we’re doing a giveaway. Here is your airflow control right there, you can see that. Nice airflow control, it does have stoppers on it. You can get anywhere from a loose mouth to lung to a really tight mouth to lung, it’s fine. The air flow range, I actually like, they did a nice job with the air flow range.

The Coil

Now, in order to get to your coil, you simply unscrew it just like this and you pop it out like so. These are the new Core Pal coils. I did like the original Pal coils but they kind of revamp these. This is the 1 ohm good for 9-13.5W. This is the mouth to lung coil. You can run nic salts in this, no problem. I actually run nic salts in the mesh coil as well. Here is the coil I prefer out of the 2, this is the 0.6 ohm mesh coil good for 15-20W. I like this coil the best out of the ones that I’ve received so far. This is just a nice flavorful coil.

Artery Pal 2 Pro coil removed

In order to install your coil, pretty straightforward, you screw it right into the airflow piece right here, just like that. Make sure it’s nice and tight. You’re definitely going to want to prime your coil, put a few drops down the middle before you use it but I would also let it sit for a good 5/10 minutes and before I install it in the mod, I would give it a few dry poles. So once you’re all primed up, you take your coil, you slip it in there, you thread it in, just like so and now you’re ready to fill up and vape.

Nice job on the pod, I like the fact that it’s clear, I do like that. I like the fact that it’s clear and you got a sight glass so you could actually see your juice level, good job on that. 3 ml capacity on this one. They do have a TPD version that I believe is 2ml, but this one for these states is 3ml. Once you’re all done filling it up, you just pop it in there like so and now you’re ready to adjust your wattage and vape.

Alright, Insiders! Let’s go over those cons and pros.

I really only got one con on this one, it’s such a nitpicky con, I almost feel bad bringing it up. It’s the fact that the solid colors are actually a little thinner than the colorful ones, I showed that to you down low.

That’s the only con I could come up with, man. Otherwise, this thing is a really nice device in its little niche of the market, it works really well.

So let’s move on to the pros.

Now, first pro is going to be, it’s small, its compact, it’s a super easy carry. You can fit this in any pocket, it’s an on-the-go sort of vape.

It’s got an adjustable airflow and it’s got a nice adjustable airflow range. The range is anywhere from a restricted DL hit to a legit mouth to lung hit. Tightening up the draw is going to depend on the coil you use as well. Of course the 1 ohm coil is a little tighter just by its very nature so you’re going to get a better mouth to lung draw off of that coil. Personally, I prefer the mesh.

It’s got adjustable wattage up to 22W.

It’s got a really nice build quality for what it is.

Super easy to fill.

I like that sight glass, it’s easy to see your juice level, that’s a pro.

I love the texture on the solid colors, definitely diggin that. I’m not a big fan of the other colors but I like the solid ones.

It’s got a nice finish.

You get 2 coils in the kit.

It’s got nice flavouring clouds. This is the mesh coil at 20W. Check it out. That’s some nice cloud production for this little guy, not bad at all. You just can’t complain about that and the flavor is there, I got a juice in there that I know very well and it tastes accurate in this device

And the last pro is going to be this device will do well with nic salts or freebase juice, it doesn’t matter. You can even run like your 20, 25, 30 nic salts with the mesh coil. I’ve done it before, it’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with it. Of course you can definitely run the nic salts in the 1 ohm coil. I’m not a fan of 1 ohm coil, it’s not that it’s not flavorful, it is, it’s just not my type of draw.
